2025.12.07“Carvaan- Arabian Delights”
I visited Carvaan Tokyo for the third time, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. Their use of spices is amazing, fragrant, and aromatic without being overwhelming. I especially love that they offer a lamb burger, which is hard to find in Tokyo. Most dishes burst with aroma and flavor, and the location is perfect: 12th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square, with beautiful views.
On my second visit, I went with a friend for her birthday and tried their Afternoon Tea Set. The puddings, soup, and ice creams were incredibly aromatic and delicious, but the portions are on the smaller side—so don’t come hungry! I loved the free-flow aromatic teas, and the presentation really stood out. The dishes and trays are Arabian-style, made of copper and other metals, which match the theme so beautifully.
Almost everything on the menu is Halal or vegan, which is a huge plus. Just one note: one of the ice creams in the Afternoon Tea contains a small amount of alcohol. If you're choosing the tea set, make sure to tell the staff you want the alcohol-free version—they do offer it and can replace it without any problem.
The restaurant has a cozy Arabian-style atmosphere with dark interiors, plenty of seating for families or group gatherings, and it's also kid-friendly. Overall, it is a beautiful mix of flavor, spice, and ambiance definitely one of my favorite places in Shibuya.
